Starting on 18 July the twice a month installfest will return to University of Advancing Technology: 2625 W Baseline,Tempe, AZ 85283 (between 48th and Fry’s). The time remains the same 10am to 4 pm.
Anyone interested in Linux is welcome. We can just chat. We can install almost any version of Linux on your computer, router, server, Raspberry PI, or ???. You can fix or learn open source programs in a one on one training class.
AZLOCO Re-validation
Every two years each Ubuntu Local Community must be re-validated by the Ubuntu LoCo Council. Our turn is approaching. Our application has been submitted, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ArizonaTeam/Re-validationApplication2015 and we have been placed on the schedule for 1300 MST (1 pm) on 18 August 2015. The meeting will take place on line at #ubuntu-meeting. Please attend if possible. Your support will be appreciated.
Plotting the temperature of your PI
If you are living in Arizona and you have a PI outside, you might want to keep an eye on its temperature. It might get a bit hot, and you might need to know how far you can push the PI before it starts acting funny…
