Two AZLOCO members, Walter Mack and Mark Thomas, have been accepted as Ubuntu members on 2 February 2017. Official Ubuntu Membership means recognition of significant and sustained contribution to Ubuntu or the Ubuntu community. Congratulations to both of them. They are well deserving of the honor which is not handed out lightly.

Signing the Ubuntu Code of Conduct
One of the requirements to become a Ubuntu member is to have signed the Code of Conduct. It may seem like a formidable task and it was for me. I was only able to accomplish the task on my third attempt. There are several web sites that purport to make the task easier. Two are from Ask Ubuntu. “How do I sign the Ubuntu Code of Conduct” http://askubuntu.com/questions/100275/how-do-i-sign-the-ubuntu-code-of-conduct#100304 and “How do I make a PGP key?” http://askubuntu.com/questions/100281/how-do-i-make-a-pgp-key There is also the “Code of Conduct Signing Assistant” on Launchpad itself. https://launchpad.net/code-of-conduct-signing-assistant. These sites, especially the last one, should make the task relatively easy.
